what to expect

Your First Visit

The first time you visit Hilltop Clinic, there will be a packet of New Patient Paperwork to fill out. You can also download and fill out the paperwork by clicking the buttons below. We’ll ask for the parent or guardian’s photo ID.

Our friendly receptionists will greet you, ask the patient’s name, and have you fill out any necessary paperwork. If you have a copay, they’ll ask you to pay it now.

Once you are checked in and an exam room is ready, one of our receptionists will bring you back to the blue, yellow, or purple exam room.

Your exam will be conducted as explained below. Our staff work to make it a stress free and professional experience.

After your visit, Dr. Reid may ask you to stop at the front desk on your way out to schedule your next appointment. If so, simply bring the half-sheet of paper he hands you to one of our receptionists and they will take care of everything.

The Exam

The nurse will check your child’s height, weight, temperature, and other vital signs. If you are sick, the nurse will ask about your symptoms. If you are coming for a wellness check, the nurse will ask more basic questions about your health.

Dr. Reid will conduct all necessary physical exam components as needed for your child’s visit that day. He approaches the physical exam in a way to try and make it as comfortable and stress-free as possible for your child.

Billing & Insurance

If the patient has SoonerCare, we will check their eligibility prior to the visit and call you if there are any problems regarding the patient’s medical coverage. Patients with Soonercare will have no out-of-pocket expenses.

If the patient is uninsured, we will ask whether you have applied for SoonerCare. If the patient has been denied for SoonerCare, they will be listed as a Self-Pay (uninsured) patient. If the patient has not yet applied, we will ask you do to so by visiting https://www.apply.okhca.org/Site/UserAccountLogin.aspx. Uninsured patients can expect to pay no more than $20 out of pocket per visit. We will ask for this payment when you arrive, and can accept cash or checks in the clinic. If you would like to pay by credit card at a later date, we will send a bill in the mail and email.

Have You Applied For Soonercare?

All uninsured families are asked if they have recently applied for SoonerCare. If your child is eligible for SoonerCare, we ask that you get this set up prior to your first appointment. Please let us know if you have any questions!
